Abstract. Aeroponic system is the most effective system of plant cultivation. This is the plant cultivation only in the air. In this article the story, temperature relationships in root zone, classification, construction, function and advantages of aeroponic systems are presented.

Summary

Aeroponic system is the cultivation of plants only in the air, without any substrate. Nutrient solution is injected to the root zone in short time intervals. The most advantages of aeroponic systems are: higher yield with the optimal quality, reduction of water and nutrients uses, functioning in closed system and safety for the natural environment. The aeroponic system is the effective method of root zone cooling, and improve growing of horticultural plants in higher temperatures under glass. Because of significant advantages the aeroponic system could be widely used in horticultural practice.
